EMPASIA – Project Management
The Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation FhG-IFF in Magdeburg, Germany performs applied research and development. Since its foundation in 1992, the Fraunhofer IFF has established itself both nationally and internationally. The institute’s core competencies are reflected in its divisions: Logistics Systems and Networks, Virtual Development and Training, Production and Plant Management, and Automation.
The Fraunhofer IFF uses innovative methods, concepts and tools to resolve wide-ranging problems professionally. Clients come from both the public sector (e.g. the Federal Government and the State of Saxony-Anhalt, nationally; the EU internationally) and the industrial sector (e.g. SIEMENS, BMW, Volkswagen).
The Fraunhofer IFF team has successfully completed numerous national and international research and application projects. Thus, the Fraunhofer IFF has extensive practical experience managing international project teams and networks. The Fraunhofer IFF has also been carrying out training and company projects in the ASEAN region Thailand since 1999. The focus here has been on the development and application of industrial environmental controlling systems. Thus, the applicant has extensive practical experience with professional training of the target groups and company projects in ASEAN. In this context, the Fraunhofer IFF will be the key partner with respect to preparing, conducting and assessing the capacity building measures and the theoretical and practical train the trainer education. Furthermore the Fraunhofer IFF will bring in its extensive international networks
